The format for both boys’ and girls’ competition is a round robin in two pools each with four teams – two from Saskatoon and two from out of town. Everyone is guaranteed four games. Games consist of 8 minute quarters, except for the finals, which are 10 minutes.
All teams are able to use players who conform to the eligibility rules of their home province. All games will be played according to FIBA rules. The decisions made by the game referee will be final. Three-minute overtime periods will be played if necessary.
If two teams have identical records in their pool after the round robin is complete, their head-to-head record will be used to break the tie. The team who finishes in first place will play the other pool’s first place team in the championship final. Teams will match up similarly for the third/fourth, fifth/sixth, and seventh/eighth place finals.
